✅Population bug after updte

I had an old version of theotown installed (not really sure about what version) in my tablet. population was fine then but after installing the latest version I noticed most of my buildings (residential/industrial/commercial) are now unoccupied, maybe around 60%, so what i did was i tried to wait for a few hours hoping to get my empty buildings occupied again but it failed. Not really sure if it is a bug or just something on my end. Someone please help me.
