i dont know if this is the right section. when i use resolution higher than normal it also makes ui size smaller. my device is typical 5". so playing at higher reso is kinda annoying.

@lobby please make gui and game resolution separate settings.

Wasn't the resolution the size of the UI?
Not sure though...

I'm not sure but, maybe higher resolution means that more pixels can be added in one area, meaning the UI gets smaller
since you can pack more pixels into one area.

well usually in most games game res and ui res are separate(like minecraft with the GUI slider). i dunno if this is controlled thru the game engine, if thats the case it might be tougher to change.

Is there a point in changing the game resolution in Theotown?

I think I suggested this before too...
My game runs at 426x240 virtual resolution, while my phone can handle much bigger resolutions.
The game is just a big mess when I zoom out.
Resolution represents how many pixels are on the screen. Higher resolution = more pixels = more clear vision
But the UI is drawn directly on the pixels in its real pixel size, so when you increase the resolution, the ui takes same amount of pixels but since there are more pixels, the UI gets smaller.
:teach
Meh, I was close enough.

To me it sounds as if you want more details in the texture, but that won't happen with higher resolution. You might try out the smooth shader, though.

If that's not what you're looking for it might be an option to zoom out a bit. Zoom uses steps of factor two as steps in between would lead to graphical artefacts on most devices.

those are game texture your referring, im talking about the UI, like the minimap rotate buttons, the the pause and fast forward buttons.

when i change resolution from 'normal' to 'big' and 'very big', the UI became so small.

They are of the same zoom level? Please send me the original screenshots via pm. It shouldn't look like that as resolution settings is only virtual, the game itself renders always with native resolution.
