Game crashes on specific points.

Hello,

I play the game through Steam on my pc.
The game crashes every time whenever I create a huge map, and when I try to load the plane selection for my airport.

What am I to do?

not a specific one, the game just freezes and crashes before any plane shows up in a menu.

About the crash when you load the plane selection can be solved by just updating the game.

For the first one, it may be Java Heap size issue

I've checked and it seems there was an update but I've downloaded it about 12hrs ago. Just checked and it still crashed. Java Platform SE Binary gave an error.

I'm told it will update automatically if you have auto-updates enabled on your Steam library page. 1960 is the vesion to wait for.

Auto-updating is enabled on the game. Do you know where I can find the version?
When I check the game properties and view the update history it says the latest is Release 1.7.70 on October the 30th. 2019. so I'm quite sure that wasn't the update that was downloaded today..

@CommanderABab and I've found the version, it displays it on startup. Currently am on 1959.

Yes, wait until it says 1960 before trying the plane.

@Lobby , I've done the memory allocation for Java, it doesn't prevent crashing though. I've allocated 2gb and3gb of memory, then it crashed but gave me the java heap error. which I haven't seen before. Trying to allocate 4gb of memory didn't work, I don't know if I even have that much.

@Lobby fair point, thank you. I've checked and I've allocated more, about 75% of my RAM. but on map creation it still crashed.

Game fully functions properly, only the mentioned two specific actions make it crash because of the Java Heap.

How do you access that plane section? Please have a look for a crash.txt file in your C:/Users/YourUsername/TheoTown folder send send me the contents of it

@Lobby after accessing the airport menu through the city size I've assigned a lane for my airport. Either of the encircled options result in the same crash. (see attached image)
I've used the top right button, I just discovered the bottom one does the exact same.

That is interesting, indeed. Do you use any plugins that add airplanes or airport buildings?

@Lobby , no I do not. I've only started using more plugins after yesterday. None of them are plane or airport related, because I hadn't tried that part of the game yet. would it help showing what plugins I have?
