Regions creation

Hi, i'm new on the game and i want to know something about the biomes generation. So, i've made up a region using the map of Westeros (Game of Thrones), But i cannot find a way to put the biomes in the right place, the generation of biomes is always random? I mean, there is no way to have a certain control on that?

Heightmaps can only be used for, well, heights, it does not support biomes.
