Yeah I can't even play the game cos it gets in the way and is very annoying

Looks as if you're playing with low color depth. Is there a specific reason for that (it gets enabled by default after a crash on startup)? If not you can disable low color depth in experimental features and restart the game.

OK so it worked! And thanks for the help! Now I need to get used to everything looking so bright and different now haha
