Gaming PC

Post by KINGTUT10101 »

I have zero knowledge about PCs and what's good. I have been putting a little bit of research into it, but I still don't completely understand. I would like to know how much a good gaming PC would cost and what it can do.

Depends,

If you are looking for a PC to run large games at medium settings, probaly anywhere in the 600-700$ range (pre built)

If you wan't something that can run almost any game with max settings, at least over 1000$

Now if you want to possible save some money and get the power you wan't, you can build your own PC
This means buying your own parts and having to build it from scratch, however you can save some money by only buying the quality parts you need rather than going overkill with a prebuilt

No they are not cheap

What I want my PC to do is to play recent games like BF1 at the minimum of 1080p 60fps.

So you should look at requirements for this game and search elements or new computer which will be match for that :bc
It's my opinion for that :)

I would say a decent mid-range PC that can run modern games in FHD would cost something between 700-900€ (a bit less in $ probably).
You should look at main components in these categories:
- CPU: Intel i5 7500 or AMD 1500x
- GPU: Nvidia GTX1060 6GB or AMD RX570 4GB (note that this AMD-card has become more expensive recently due to crypto-currency mining. I would wait for prices of 200-250$. Don't buy these used from former miners!). Look at reviews! Maybe even a GTX 1050ti will do for what you intend on playing.
- 16GB RAM
- an SSD with about 250GB
- the remaining components don't matter that much, just don't buy the cheapest, especially with power units.

In that case you're gonna have a hefty hole in your wallet.
Just search gaming pc's and keep looking until you reach the 1000Euro+ Mark

I don't think they woukd be over $1000 to run even a game like BF1 at 1080p 60fps. A console can do that, so I don't think a PC should be $500 more expensive just a to run a game as well as a console.

Then you are wrong my friend!

And console graphics are a lot worse than PC

I mean you could get away with a 700-800$ pc on sale
