Will the Steam version have plugins?

#1

Post by MeepMeepMeepMeep »

With the Steam version of TheoTown :66: coming out in less than a week, It would like to ask if plugins would be possible.
Ways how this could be done:

1. Integrate the plugin system into Steam Workshop. Would be a lot of effort for just one platform.

2. Simply allow zip files (downloaded on forums) to be stored somewhere in the game files inside steamapps/common/TheoTown

3. Something else?

Please tell me your thoughts.

It will function like current plugin system. No workshop though.

That probably won't work if there is no simple directory to put the plugin files in like on Android.

Hmmm, £5.99. Don’t think I’ll be getting it in a long time. :(

The PC version will create a folder in C:\Users\your username\TheoTown
That folder is mostly the same as the one on Android. Plugin and city files should be 100% compatible :)

That's really nice!
I would like to ask, will there be bigger maps because PCs usually can handle more?
Otherwise, it is a good plan for the future :space
