The Double Decker highway is a very cool piece of urban engineering. Now you can do it in TheoTown by yourself! This is my way of doing a semi-realistic one. Here we go!!

-CHAPTER 1-
Introduction & Notes!


_____ Everyone knows how to bulid a road. Everyoneknows how to bulid a bridge. But a road and a bridge?! You know that too. But the reasons here is to make it look GOOD! For those who don't know (or already known...) Here're some exploits...

- POWERLINES -
_____Placing bridge over powerlines are very very common, and have an unusual property of defying gravity. That would be why powerlines in the game never hangs as a paraboloid following the gravity; It's made from ultra strong Carbon-fiber Nanotubes!
Here's how it looks:

The bridge supports reactions to obstacles.
R: Road and Bridge
Y: Wire placed before bridge.
B: Bridge placed before wire.
So you can do this...

The dots represent the wires underneath.
You'll see that this trick also works with corner bridges, which opened up a whole new world of possibility! No need to swerve your road out of order to turn anymore.

And also, because the lines don’t have poles over water, you can do this!

NEAT!

This type of supportless bridge, which also conduct electricity, I named it Conductive BridgeTM.

- ROADS -
_____Roads are the bloodlines of a good city. You don't want your blood vessels to get clogged up, are you?(Except if you have 8x traffic. I'll let you past...) Here're some tips.
You know roads that are underneath bridges will remove the supports automatically, do you? Great!
Now turn it up to OVER 9000!!!!!! *cough cough*

Totally works. But bland.
As long as there are supports on BOTH ENDS of the bridge, or the bridge connect to the region. It'll be fine... FOR NOW***

You can implement this idea similar to Conductive Bridges and get across bodies of water. Here!:

Place land in the middle of water. CAUTION! When you do this, the tone and gradiant of the water color will be removed permanently. Thats why i suggest the Powerlines one.

Dirt road can be easily demolished be teraforming water. Good for marking areas

Done!! this is an easier one.
All of these combined could make some amazing masterpiece for your city. Just add some decorations and you're all done! (Except you are like me, bulit a whole metropolis with money on while others use sandbox... Then you'll need to provide services! This is where the Conductive Bridges come in handy! Here's my example for a bridge with commercial bulidings for support structures (because it look cool!) )

!!IMPORTANT!!

《1》When building no pillars bridge. Be VERY CAREFUL not to DEMOLISH just a tiny part of the bridge! Or even the ADJESON to the bridge. Make sure you demolised the BOTTOM road+extra space before deleting the top one.
《2》Building bridges like this take some time, especially for the later chapter. So prepare yourself some time for errors! (Meditation is highly recommended.) Regularly save the game. (so if you somehow made mistakes, insted of fixing it, you can “exit and NOT save” to reload your last saved non-problematic bridge! I just prefer it that way... )
《3》ALWAYS check what you are building. Are the roads elevated? Which way are the slope and direction of one-ways? You do not want to fix these...


Well, thats all the exploits I found yet and take adventage of. I used it so much it felt like a feature. HAHA XD

NEXT UP >> DIAGONAL ROADS, DIAGONAL BRIDGES and DIAGONAL ROADS W/ BRIDGES!!!

Mark the roads and the turns.

Place "Eco bus stop"s as modern over head pillars.

Put the road over top. And replace the wires in(1) with proper road.
*Make sure you planed the intersections and junctions, traffic lights on/off, U-turns are recommended insted of intersections at every block for the lower roads, directions of road, types of road, cool details that you can't see because it completely block, on-off ramps, and so on... THEN place the bridge over top. You can't fix underpart unless you rip the top one out, and that a massive pian in the backside, or... you can be like me and have mad skillz, MAD SKILLZ~... Ratchet & Clank 2002 Reference. <3

You can go another step by using the non-highways road! literally!
Just do the same with the railroad.
