Highways
I tried building highways but they seem too complicated for me I have looked at other peoples ones but they look so technical and I can't get them to look like them . I am only starting to build roads and I do not know how to build them properly because all my oads are red and I have the most expensive roads down too.

If the highways are too expensive for you to practice building them, you could still create a sandbox-city (I recommend a map with all ground. It may take some time until the randomizer spits one out) and practice there.
And by the way, you don't really have to create complicated interchanges. Most people who build them do this because they look more realistic and more visually pleasing. You can make plain X-interchanges by drawing one highway across another just as well. They also work.
