Confused in distinguishing adults and children on "Overall Habitant"

I confuse with overall Habitant. Sometime they have some student and some worker. But overall Habitant cannot show how much kids in town and how much adult Habitant in town. We need to improve overall Habitant with add how much kids and adults in town.
With this will we can improve the economy and control the construction of business building and school
