No diversity
This is the most annoying and ugly thing i see in theotown, when you zone and give them the best they want since they are complaining too much, it first starts with some varieties of buildings and comes with this ugly non-diverse buildings @Lobby please change this because there are more TTT buildings than that and same buildings over and over again makes building worse.

Re: No diversity
This is because the buildings develop towards the highest amount of inhabitants/workers for a specific lot-size and wealth level. So if you have 2x2 residentials, at some point all buildings will turn into one and the same building because this one has the highest number of inhabitants.
In my eyes, there are two remedies for this problem:
1) As a player, you should use the option to make historic on every building that you want to keep. That is tedious of course.
2) The ingame buildings should be grouped into classes with different amounts of inhabitants/workers, so that you have, for example, at least 5 buildings for each amount of inhabitants/workers. So, classes of buildings with 10, 30, 50, 100, 200, 300 etc. inhabitants/workers each, instead of having single buildings with for example 11, 35, 57, 123 etc. This would increase variety because you would have 5 buildings for each class that could be build randomly each with the same probability of being selected, instead of having one single building that is build everywhere because it has one inhabitant/worker more than all the other buildings.

I actually like it. The game is actually building some of my plugins that wouldn't build on their own before. Of course, it had removed them and rebuilt them LOL.

Re: No diversity
If you loose a lot of inhabitants because of the update it might be the case that you gain more rich ones. They need more space, therefore the inhabitant count decreases. However, your income should increase then.
The new system makes it a lot easier to spawn really height buildings, which is a good thing, I think

Re: No diversity
We have not enough buildings to guarantee that much diversity. In real cities I noticed that similar buildings are often grouped together, so it would make sense to do it here, too.
Here an example from Shanghai:

I mean when game could have enough buildingsBearbear65 wrote: ↑18 Aug 2017, 04:16I'm not sure
Since lobby said that similar buildings are often built together and I agree with that
And we don't have that much skyscrapers and texture space and money and stuff...
