It's not a choice that we can make as the game relies on Steam to provide certain functionality of the game such as online features. It would appear that Steam has already made a decision which is to officially discontinue support for it. Besides, Microsoft themselves dropped support for Windows 7, ...

Since you use Linux as your main OS, Steam is available on most Linux distributions and so is TheoTown. To play TheoTown, you just need to have Java installed on the linux distribution. That solves the issue with Windows 7 support.

There should be an in-game file manager available from the region view. There might also be a TheoTown entry in the default Android file manager (DocumentsUI).

If I recall correctly, "p" is the probability for the random fun object to get called, not the action.
